Research Administration & Services

Trinity Health Of New England has been recognized as one of the major academic medical centers in the region. This drive for academic excellence is ingrained in the culture throughout the region as they strive to further research endeavors not only to improve upon the care our patients receive but also to explore ways to positively impact our community.

The Research Development Office is a key component of Research Administration at Trinity Health Of New England. The office, located on the third floor of 260 Ashley Street, Hartford, CT, provides a wide range of services for faculty, staff and trainees who wish to conduct or plan to conduct research projects within the hospital and community.

Research Development & Grant Support

The Research Team assists with planning and developing research grants, studies, or evaluation-based quality-improvement projects.  Focal areas include clinical research and sponsored studies, studies developed by investigators (investigator-initiated studies), community-based research, and program evaluation. The team works with investigators from concept to implementation. Support includes:

  • Developing research questions
  • Protocol development and review
  • Study design and analysis
  • Identification of collaborators and funding opportunities
  • Study coordination and management 
  • Assistance with grant applications
