At Trinity Heath Of New England, EpiCare training is provided to both Inpatient (Hospital) and Outpatient (Ambulatory) clinical and non clinical users.

HealthStream Registration:

Completion of the appropriate Epic training is required prior to EpiCare Access being granted.

HealthStream is a Learning Management System that is used by Saint Francis to facilitate student registration and tracking of all EpiCare classes. You will need a user ID and password to log into HealthStream.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Will there be web-based training?
    • 5 - 20 minute E-Learning modules
    • Complete required E-Learning modules before attending classroom training. Refer to the Course Catalog to determine if E-Learning modules are included in training.
  2. Will there be classroom based training?
    • Yes there are classroom training sessions. Refer to the course catalog for complete listings of courses.
    • Registration for classroom training sessions is to be completed in HealthStream. Medical Students, Resident Coordinators, New Hire Inpatient Provider/Surgeon (not in the process of implementing Epic) do not use HealthStream for registration. Email epictraining@stfranciscare.org or call 860-714-7000 for class schedules and registration.
  3. How will I know which classes I need to take for training?
    • Refer to your scheduling coordinator or manager to determine which classes you need to take. Scheduling and classroom registration will be handled through your scheduling coordinator or manager.
