Waterbury Health Access Program provides discounted and free medical services to uninsured and underinsured patients in the Greater Waterbury area. Highly trained and bilingual specialists help determine a patient's eligibility for health insurance including for Medicare and Medicaid, or through the state's health insurance exchange.
Waterbury Project Access provides free donated services by area professionals, for those patients who still cannot afford or do not qualify or are not eligible for insurance. Several hundred physicians donate their time and treat hundreds of patients, providing millions of dollars in medical assistance. In addition to this, almost $1.5 million in medications, prescription drugs, and other medical and health care supplies have been donated to provide discounted and free health care for patients in the program.
