Community Violence Prevention Programs
- Greater Hartford Family Advocacy Center (GHFAC): GHFAC offers a safe haven for victims of abuse and violence, providing comprehensive support services including victim advocacy, mental health services, and forensic interviews for adults and children. Read more here.
- Trauma-Informed Mental Health Service: Trauma-informed mental health services are available to Victims of Violence across the lifespan.
- Hospital Violence Intervention Program (HVIP): HVIP fosters partnerships and collaboration between hospital providers and community-based organizations to advance trauma informed services for victims of violence at Saint Francis Hospital.
Clinical and Social Care Programs
- The Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry: Serving over 1,500 people monthly, this program provides access to healthy food and essential resources.
- Together for Wellness Services: Together for Wellness is a comprehensive program designed to help you take control of your health combining nutrition, clinical support, and community resources to support lasting lifestyle changes.
Community Based Programs
- Diabetes Prevention Program: This program is designed for people with prediabetes to cut their risk of developing type 2 diabetes through lifestyle changes such as healthy eating and physical activity.
- Stronger Families, Stronger Futures: This program connects pregnant people and parents with young children to resources to help families thrive.
- Connecticut Early Detection and Prevention Program (CEDPP): This program empowers women with the knowledge and tools to reduce their risk for heart disease and stroke.
