Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital (MRH), located in Springfield, Massachusetts, is a licensed and certified by Medicare as an acute rehabilitation hospital and is accredited by the Joint Commission. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital is also is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its General Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty programs. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital was the first acute rehabilitation services provider in Western Massachusetts and has been consecutively CARF accredited for over 30 years. In 2015, MRH became part of Trinity Health Of New England, an integrated health care delivery system that is a member of Trinity Health, Livonia, Michigan, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation serving communities in 22 states. .Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital is located on the campus of Mercy Medical Center which allows access to emergency medical care and specialty care services should they be required. Patients receive a minimum of 15 hours of individual therapy per week tailored to meet their specific needs and goals.  

A CARF Three-Year Accreditation was awarded to Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

Parking 

  • Patients and visitors are asked to park their cars in the spots reserved especially for them. 
  • Handicapped parking is available, and spaces are conveniently located near all of our medical facilities.
  • Mercy’s Campus Shuttle is available to all employees, patients, and visitors. 
  • The Shuttle Program runs between 6:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).

Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) provides transportation to Mercy Medical Center and our other locations throughout Greater Springfield.
