Creating a Culture of Inclusion and Belonging
By continually educating ourselves and engaging in meaningful conversation we are taking action. Action leads to change. And change is necessary for us to advance, together. Our focus must remain on how we can create a culture of inclusion and belonging – for all.
We encourage our community to continually seek training and education to ensure we are always doing more to understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion for all. Some of our initiatives include:
Colleague Resource Groups
Colleague Resource Groups (CRGs) leverage the unique strengths, views, and experiences of colleagues to impact innovation, colleague engagement, and community outreach efforts. Participation provides colleagues the opportunity to enhance cultural awareness, develop leadership skills, and network with colleagues across the region at all levels.
Colleague Resource Groups at Trinity Health Of New England:
- Black Physician & Provider Network – Supports the development, retention, and engagement of our Black physicians.
- Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) New England – Serves to unify the community of women across Trinity Health.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council
We are committed to affirming the value of each patient, employee, vendor, visitor and community member by honoring and embracing individuality while incorporating it into our every action. Creating a more diverse and inclusive Trinity Health is essential to the success of our People-Centered Strategy and fulfilling our Mission to be a transforming healing presence within our communities. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Councils provide feedback and guidance on goals, priorities, strategic opportunities and operational challenges pertaining to Diversity and Inclusion.
Council members are invited by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Triad, which consists of the Regional CEO, Regional Chief Human Resources Officer and the Regional Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It is very important that the Council represent different perspectives across geography, disciplines, and identities (i.e., race, gender, generation) to best serve the region. The Council meets on a quarterly basis.
