Ashish Upadhyay, MD

Dr. Ashish Upadhyay is an orthopedic spine surgeon with Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group.

Dr. Upadhyay last served as the Chief of the Division of Orthopedic Surgery at Bristol Hospital, where he practiced as a spine surgeon for 6 years. Prior to that appointment, Dr. Upadhyay was an orthopedic and spine surgeon at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Dr. Upadhyay earned his medical degree from the University of Delhi in India, where he also completed a residency in orthopedics. He followed with a residency in the UK leading up to a membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland before an orthopedic residency at the University of Illinois Chicago. He later completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at the Leatherman Spine Center and Kosair Children’s Hospital at the University of Louisville. He has trained under both Orthopedic and Neurological Spine surgeons throughout his career.

Dr. Upadhyay, who is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the Indian Orthopaedic Association. He has authored many peer-reviewed publications, national and international presentations, and book chapters.
