Chest Wall Injury and Reconstruction

Our focus is to optimize the operative and non-operative management of patients with chest wall injury. At Saint Francis, we are leading the nation in returning people back to pre-injury conditions, faster and with less deficits.

Studies have shown that patients who undergo surgical stabilization of rib fractures typically experience:

  • Decreased mortality
  • Quicker recovery times
  • Reduced incidence of pneumonia
  • Reduced ventilator days
  • Less chest wall deformity
