William Gionfriddo, MD

William Gionfriddo, M.D. is an Electrophysiologist with Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group in the Department of Cardiology at Saint Francis Hospital.

Dr. Gionfriddo recently completed a fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Mass. He also completed a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and an Internal Medicine residency program at the same institution. Dr. Gionfriddo also served as a hospitalist at Lawrence Memorial Hospital since September 2020.

Dr. Gionfriddo received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where he earned the Carl F. Hinz, Jr. Award for Excellence in Scholars in Medicine and served as the Student Commencement Speaker in 2014.

In addition, Dr. Gionfriddo served on the Tufts Cardiovascular Center Fellows Curriculum Committee and was the Tufts Medical Center Cardiovascular Fellow Liaison to the American Heart Association’s Cardiovascular Fellows Society of Greater Boston. He was also a founding member of the Code Curriculum Committee at Tufts and served as an instructor of Physical Diagnosis for Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gionfriddo is a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Heart Rhythm Society.
