Dr. Shady Macaron is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in bariatric and robotic-assisted surgical procedures. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and medical degree from the American University of Beirut. Dr. Macaron completed his residency in general surgery at Yale University School of Medicine, Waterbury Hospital Health System and Saint Mary’s Hospital, and also completed a fellowship in laparo-endoscopic surgery at Danbury Hospital.

I don't have much to say—Dr. Macaron is simply an excellent doctor. He is incredibly personable, organized, and attentive—not to mention highly professional. I wish every "doctor" possessed just 10% of the qualities he has; I say this because I have had numerous appointments with other physicians, and not one of them truly listened to me or acted as professionally as Dr. Macaron. Congratulations, Doctor—you are 100%!

Dr. Macaron’s office has been nothing short of wonderful. From the moment you walk in, every member of the staff is kind, respectful, and welcoming, which immediately puts you at ease. Dr. Macaron himself has been incredibly caring and attentive he truly looks out for what is best for his patients, not just what is easy or routine.I have received such thoughtful, thorough care under him, and I deeply appreciate the open and honest conversations he provides. He always takes the time to listen to concerns, answer questions clearly, and explain next steps in a way that feels supportive and empowering.The facility is always clean and well-kept, which reflects the level of excellence they bring to every part of their practice. I had a previous procedure and experience with another group out of New York. The procedure was painful, and the experience made me feel like more of a product than a person. Dr. Macaron and his staff were warm and professional, and the procedure that I had was far more comfortable and has produced – – so far – – a much better result! I would recommend that anyone consider considering a first time or even a second time bariatric procedure give this practice, strong consideration!

He listened and showed me by diagraming the procedure I was inquiring about. I do wish he went a little slower but you can tell he is well informed and educated on the subject. He reinsurad me he would be there with me ever step of the way. He left the decision up to me and was not pushy. The staff was very patient and listened to my needs and went out of their way to help me with what was to happen next. The atmosphere was very relaxing and it didn't feel like I was on a assembly line being pushed through like in other doctor offices which would have turned me off immediately. At most health care centers like stay well you are just a number bring counted and not a person being treated. They are all about stats and forget people are humans .
