Monia Chopra, MD is a rheumatologist for the Department of Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital with Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group.
Dr. Chopra recently completed her fellowship in rheumatology at Roger Williams Medical Center and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI. Prior to her fellowship, Dr. Chopra completed a residency at Steward Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Mass (affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine and Tufts Medical Center). She has also served as a rotating physician in the Department of Rheumatology at Tufts Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Medical Center of Boston University, and Saint Elizabeth Medical Center.
Dr. Chopra earned her medical degree from S. Nijalingappa Medical College and H.S.K Hospital and Research Centre in Bagalkot, Karnataka, India. While in medical school, she earned Certificates of being Class topper for all 5 years of medical school and certificate of Excellence in ENT and Ophthalmology, and a Gold Medal in General Surgery.
Dr. Chopra is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and the American College of Rheumatology.
