About
Javed Khader Eliyas, MD, FRCSC, FACS, FAANS is a neurosurgeon and neuro interventionalist for the Department of Surgery at Saint Francis Hospital with Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group.
Dr. Eliyas most recently practiced as staff neurosurgeon at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, also serving as an assistant professor within the departments of Neurosurgery and Radiology at the school of Medicine of the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Eliyas earned his medical degree from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Coimbatore, India. He then completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Following residency, he specialized in Endovascular neurosurgery at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine and undertook further training, focused on skull-base and cerebro-vascular neurosurgery, at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Dr. Eliyas specializes in the management of vascular disorders that affect the brain and the spine. He also has expertise in the treatment of skull-base tumors and disorders. He is trained to treat these diagnosis with minimally invasive methods, such as endovascular therapies and radiosurgery, often avoiding open surgery for the benefit of the patients. Dr. Eliyas believes in patient-centric care and strives to deliver treatments of highest standards with utmost compassion.
He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Canada. He is also a fellow of the American college of surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Heart Association, and the Society of Neuro Interventional Surgery.
