About
Dr. Gambardella joined the Saint Francis Hospital surgical team in 2014 while also in private practice with Bloomfield Foot Specialists. He has earned six Top Foot and Ankle Surgeon awards since beginning private practice and serves on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Gambardella is actively involved in training residents at Saint Francis. He has published several articles regarding foot and ankle trauma, surgical management of congenital anomalies, sports related injuries, and surgical limb salvage techniques, and has authored two textbook chapters discussing pain management and variations of foot and ankle anatomy.
Dr. Gambardella attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he was class president. He completed his surgical residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and received the Residency Excellence Award as Chief Resident in 2013.
