Disha Mascarenhas, M.D., is a staff physician with Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group.

Dr. Mascarenhas earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua and completed a Western Reserve Health Education Family Medicine residency at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio. In addition to experience as a clinical instructor of family and community medicine, she has also served as a volunteer physician at the Dadhich Hospital Outpatient Clinic in Mumbai, India.

Dr. Mascarenhas is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians, the American Board of Family Medicine, and the American Medical Association. She is fluent in Hindi.

It was hard at my age to have to look for a new doctor after my previous doctor just retired and this medical group was highly recommended to me by my two daughters who have been going this office for a few years. I am very pleased.

The doctor came in with an attitude towards me because of notes she had read from my previous surgeon who was trying to cover up for a mistake he made when completing my surgery. He had to go back and do another procedure to fix it. His notes stated I was non compliant and not taking my medicines etc. Instead of the doctor coming in and treating me with respect and not jumping to conclusions, she assumed the worst and had a very negative and judgmental attitude towards me which made me extremely overwhelmed and uneasy at this appointmenty
