Medication for Weight Loss
We can help you lose weight without surgery. Our medical bariatricians work with our registered dietitians to treat obesity with medication and behavioral modifications. A medical bariatrician can also help patients who experience problems losing weight following bariatric surgery.

Are You a Candidate for Weight Loss Surgery?
You may be eligible for bariatric surgery if you:
- Are between the ages of 18 and 75
- Have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or greater
- Have a BMI between 35 and 40 and another health condition, such as obesity-related Type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease
- Are healthy enough to have the surgery
- Undergo a psychological evaluation
