Leena T. Rahmat, MD is a physician for the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Saint Francis Hospital with Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group.
Dr. Rahmat, who earned her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, most recently served as assistant professor for the Division of Hematologic Malignancies at The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She was named a Top Doctor in Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia in 2021.
Dr. Rahmat completed an advanced fellowship in Malignant Hematology and Blood and Marrow Transplant at the University of California, San Francisco. She also completed Hematology and Oncology Fellowship and internal medicine residency at Tufts University School of Medicine/Baystate Medical Center. During her training, Dr. Rahmat also completed a master’s degree in Clinical Investigation at Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. Rahmat is triple board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation, the European Hematology Association, and Health Volunteers Overseas.
