About
Stacy Taylor, M.D. is a Primary Care Physician with Trinity Health Of New England.
Since 2012, Dr. Taylor has served as a family medicine physician with Hartford Healthcare Medical Group in Torrington. She performed primary care for up to 22 patients per day of all ages, including gynecological and pediatric care. Dr. Taylor also performed home visits for patients and provided supervision to a clinical staff of one physician’s assistant and three APRNs. She was a member of the Palliative Care Council and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the Northwest Region and served on the Commission and Quality and Practice for the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Taylor served in several different roles at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, including the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine, Director of the Hospitalist Department, Primary Care Representative of the Medical Executive Committee, Hospitalist, and Chief Medical Informatics Officer. She was also the Volunteer Medical Director of Foothills VNA Hospice and was an Attending Family Medicine Physician for ProHealth Physicians from 2002-2008.
Dr. Taylor has served as a clinical instructor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Quinnipiac University, and University of Saint Joseph.
Dr. Taylor earned her Medical Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed a Family Practice Residency with UCONN, serving as a Chief Resident in 2000-01. Dr. Taylor is a Diplomat with the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Taylor is an ad hoc delegate for the American Medical Association and serves on the boards of the Connecticut Academy of Family Physicians and the Connecticut State Medical Society. Dr. Taylor believes in strongly advocating for both patients and physicians alike in order to improve health and healthcare. She also serves on the board of Health Horizons International, an organization which provides continuity of care of chronic disease to extremely impoverished residents of the Dominican Republic.
