HARTFORD, Conn. -- Trinity Health Of New England EMS is pleased to announce it is rebranding its Emergency Medical Services system to Trinity Health Of New England Mobile Healthcare. The name change comes as part of the organization’s forward-thinking approach to care and move towards an expansion of their existing emergency treatment and transportation services to a fully integrated, mobile health care partner to the community.

“Since the first implementation of emergency medical services, EMS has largely been considered a treatment and transportation system for people suffering from emergent medical and trauma conditions,” said David Koscuk, President, Trinity Health Of New England Mobile Healthcare. “The delivery models of health care are changing rapidly and Trinity Health Of New England Mobile Healthcare is proud to be on the forefront of that change as we work to evolve from an Emergency Medical Service system to a fully integrated component of our community’s healthcare journey.”

Trinity Health Of New England Mobile Healthcare will continue to provide high-quality, emergency and non-emergency services to our communities, hospitals and health care facilities, while expanding its services to include a focus on patient education, consultation, and navigation in the areas of preventative care, chronic disease management, and post-acute follow-up care. The mobile healthcare team will work with health care partners to deliver care on a non-emergency basis where patients may need it, meeting the patient where they are.

Trinity Health Of New England Mobile Healthcare is licensed in Connecticut for 23 ambulances, 10 wheelchair vans, and 8 non-transport paramedic intercept vehicles serving the towns in greater Waterbury, Prospect, Cheshire, Torrington and Stafford.

“The addition of a mobile health care service line will further strengthen our participation in our clinically integrated care network and will also help us recruit and retain best in class EMTs and Paramedics,” said Koscuk.

During the rebranding transition, Trinity Health Of New England Mobile Healthcare will remain good stewards of their resources by only implementing the new logo on new EMS vehicles as they are added to the fleet. As a result, community members may see the previous logo on vehicles until the vehicles are ready to be retired.
