Trinity Health Of New England Activates COVID-19 Testing Call Center

HARTFORD, Conn. (June 1, 2020) – Trinity Health Of New England has activated a COVID-19 testing call center that assists community members who want to make an appointment at one of the three Trinity Health Of New England drive-through testing sites. The call center number is (203) 709-6848 and it is available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am-12:00 pm.

Trinity Health Of New England offers drive-through COVID-19 testing at three of it’s member hospitals - Saint Francis Hospital, Saint Mary's Hospital and Johnson Memorial Hospital. The drive-through sites offer COVID-19 testing to all members of the community, of all ages, and there is no charge to the patient.

If an individual does not have a physician order for testing, they will be connected with a provider from a Trinity Health Of New England FURI Clinic, who will write the order and follow up with results.

FURI (Fever Upper Respiratory Infection) Clinics are dedicated facilities serving patients that need to be evaluated in an outpatient setting for symptoms like fever, cough, runny nose or shortness of breath. The purpose of a FURI Clinic is to keep people who are experiencing symptoms of an upper respiratory tract illness out of the Emergency Department and Physician Offices.

The testing process is conducted by trained clinicians, who take all the necessary precautions to protect themselves and patients. Upon arrival, patients will be asked to keep their windows up for the majority of their drive through the testing site.
