Springfield, MA. – CARF International has announced that Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital has been accredited for a period of three year for its Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Adults, Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Children and Adolescents, and the Stroke Specialty Program. The latest accreditation is the tenth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has given to Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital's substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit.

"Attaining and maintaining CARF accreditation requires significant effort, strong teamwork, and a commitment to providing quality services that enhance the lives of those we serve," said Jill LeGates, OTR/L, MS, Director of Rehabilitation Services, Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. "While participation in the accreditation process is voluntary, it's also indicative of our team's dedication to our patients. I am tremendously proud of the effort that made this achievement possible."
