Outpatient Rehabilitation at Mercy Medical Center
If you or a loved one needs help regaining movement and function due to a disabling injury or illness, or after surgery such as joint replacement, the right rehabilitation program can make all the difference.
At Mercy Rehabilitation Services, we understand that recovery means something different to each person. That’s why we provide a network of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services – for adults and children – tailored to the individual’s needs and goals.
It’s an approach that has made us one of the most essential and respected health resources in Western Massachusetts. Since we opened in 1974, our team of doctors, therapists and certified rehabilitation nurses has helped thousands of people achieve improved health and independence.
The Rehabilitation Services We Provide
The goal of rehabilitation is to help patients be independent – to do as much for themselves as they can. Our specialized rehabilitation services include:
- Inpatient rehabilitation at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital, an intensive inpatient rehabilitation program to help people who’ve experienced a major injury or illness to return home
- Outpatient rehabilitation at two locations for convenient local access to an extensive array of therapies designed to help patients achieve their personal best
- Day rehabilitation program, a unique outpatient program especially for adults with a brain injury, neurological disorder or complex medical conditions who no longer require hospitalization but still need intensive, coordinated rehabilitation services
- Children’s outpatient therapy, providing rehabilitation services focused on children’s growth and development
In addition, we offer a variety of free support groups for patients and families that provide information, education and understanding in a supportive environment.
