Johnson Memorial Hospital


Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. In 2016, Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services became part of Trinity Health Of New England, an integrated health care delivery system that is a member of Trinity Health, Livonia, Michigan, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation serving communities in 22 states. The 92-bed hospital and home health and hospice agency have been anchor institutions in north central Connecticut for more than 100 years.

Johnson Memorial Hospital’s visitation guidance is determined by the prevalence of COVID-19 within the health ministry and within our communities. The following requirements are in place for the protection of our patients and colleagues, and following guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

All visitors who are permitted will be screened prior to entry. We recognize that the care and support of loved ones is important. Please know that the safety of our patients and colleagues is of the utmost importance. With proper authorization in place, we commit to communicating with family and friends as frequently as possible.

Make a Gift

Make a Gift – Every gift to our hospital is precious and enables us to provide skilled and compassionate services across a full continuum of care including primary, acute, laboratory services, behavioral health, rehabilitation, long-term, home and end-of-life. You may specify an area of care you would like your gift to support or state that your gift should benefit the area of greatest need. Your contribution is more than a charitable donation – it is a meaningful investment in the lifesaving services our community needs now and in the years ahead.


Parking

  • Parking is provided free of charge.
  • All visitors are asked to park in lots specifically designated for visitors.

Telephone Calls:

Friends or relatives should call the floor nurse's station for information on a patient's condition. 

Dining

The Cafeteria is located on the hospital's basement. 

Cafeteria Hours:

  • The Cafeteria is open 7 days a week: 7:00 -  10:30 a.m. | 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | 5:00 - 6:15 p.m.

Special arrangements may be made for visitors to purchase a guest tray if they'd like to eat in the room with the patient. Arrangements can be made by calling the Dietary Department at extension 5167.

Vending machines are located in the Emergency Department lobby.

Banking

An ATM is located in the Emergency Department lobby.

Gift Shop

Located in the main lobby, the Gift Shop is staffed by volunteers and is normally open durind visiting hours. The Shop is sponsored by the Johnson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and offers a unique selection of items including:
