About this event
The 4th Annual Emergency Medicine Procedural Refresher Course is designed to combat procedural skill decay for those providing emergency care. It is instructed by practicing emergency physicians including pediatric emergency medicine faculty. This is an opportunity to refresh both your pediatric and adult procedural skills in the supportive environment of the simulation center.Coffee and lunch will be provided.
Adult
- Management of the difficult airway, fiberoptic intubation and cricothyrotomy
- Needle decompression, pigtail and tube thoracostomy
- US guided pericardiocentesis
- US guided Cordis insertion and transvenous pacing
- Lateral canthotomy
- Sim cases; A Change of Heart, Mint Condition, The Clot Thickens,
- Nut Your Average Birthday
- Procedures/skills; The anatomically difficult airway, the physiologically difficult airway, cricothyrotomy, IO, cardiac arrest management
