WATERBURY, Conn. -- Trinity Health Of New England EMS is pleased to announce its donation of a decommissioned ambulance to Chesprocott Health District. The retired ambulance, that once transported patients to area hospitals, will find new life by housing and transporting Chesprocott Health District supplies and serving as a small work area for their staff, ultimately improving their ability to increase access to care services for their local community.

“Trinity Health Of New England EMS is committed to being good partners with the communities we serve,” said President of Trinity Health Of New England EMS, David Koscuk. “We were made aware Chesprocott Health District was looking for a vehicle to support their outreach efforts and we are honored to be able to fulfill that need. The ambulance we are donating was ready for retirement, and we are thrilled to see the vehicle serve another greater purpose. This is a very happy ending for this ambulance.”

As the local health department for the towns of Cheshire, Prospect, and Wolcott, Chesprocott provides essential public health services and information to their communities. Trinity Health Of New England EMS is the emergency services provider for the towns of Cheshire and Prospect and works collaboratively with the Chesprocott Health District, as well as local Police and Fire Departments to serve residents in the area.

“Chesprocott is thrilled to receive this ambulance,” said Maura Esposito, Director of Health for the Chesprocott Health District. “We look forward to utilizing it, as these past two years we have been very visible in the community and this will allow us to continue providing great public health prevention services to our residents.”

The Chesprocott Health District received a generous donation that will enable them to refurbish the ambulance to suit their needs. Their vision for the renovated vehicle is to continue their current vaccination efforts with pop-up events for COVID-19, Flu, Hepatitis B, and others, blood pressure screenings, and other point of care screenings.
