Judy Manning, RN, Named Colleague of the Month at Saint Francis

Judy, RN in the NICU, was honored as the Colleague of the Month for February.

Judy, who has been a NICU nurse for over 23 years, is a valued member of the department’s core charge team. In all her interactions, Judy consistently lives out the organization’s Core Values, most specifically Reverence, Safety and Integrity. Her nomination stated, “if one word could describe Judy, it would be commitment. She is deeply dedicated to both our NICU families and her colleagues. This commitment is evident in her compassionate bedside interactions, where she supports and reassures parents during some of their most challenging moments.”

Judy goes above and beyond in preparing families for their transition home. She is a CPR instructor, and offers monthly infant CPR classes for parents, which serve as an invaluable resource that helps families feel more confident and prepared to care for their babies after discharge.

Whether in everyday situations or high-pressure emergencies, Judy remains calm and unflappable. Her nomination concluded by recognizing her unwavering dedication, clinical expertise and compassionate leadership, saying, “when Judy is in charge, her steady presence brings a sense of calm to the unit. Her leadership reassures the entire team and fosters a supportive, confident environment for both colleagues and families.”
