Grondalski Named Mercy’s Newest Colleague of the Month

Congratulations to Tom Grondalski, Captain/Manager of Security and Safety, for his selection as Mercy Medical Center's Colleague of the Month for September. The selection for this honor is based on the nominations of fellow colleagues who recognized Tom for consistently "exceeding expectations, demonstrating excellence in job performance, and delivering exceptional service."
Tom Grondalski is Mercy's Colleague of the Month for September.
A Mercy colleague for more than 20 years, Tom Grondalski oversees all security operations for the hospital, including his team's immediate response to emergency situations and staff scheduling. Despite the pressures of his daily role, Tom maintains a calm demeanor and a “can do” attitude. Tom is also known for his willingness to help other colleagues, even when those efforts require him to go beyond his typical duties, such as setting the podium and speaker system for various events at Mercy. And Tom’s contributions haven’t gone unnoticed. In one nomination form, a colleague noted his humble nature, “Tom does all of this with a smile and a kind word. If I could, I would nominate him for Colleague of the Year!”
