Veronica Maria Pimentel, M.D., M.D., FACOG, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist at Saint Francis Hospital, hosts a podcast for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) called “Labor of Love.” Sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), “Labor of Love” is designed to provide information on topics related to pregnancy and postpartum care.

Now in its third season, “Labor of Love” explores current and emerging threats during pregnancy and the postpartum. Dr. Pimentel, who serves as the Director of Research for OB/GYN Residency and the Director of Diabetes in Pregnancy, speaks to obstetrics colleagues to share perspectives on a wide range of patient concerns and issues.

Episode 1 of Season 3, “The Latest on RSV Prevention and Vaccination” was recently released. Dr. Pimentel was joined by colleagues from Duke University and Boston Medical Center to discuss the latest recommendations for RSV maternal vaccination. They shared advice on how clinicians can counsel patients on making the best choice for themselves and their families.
